What IS "America's Medal of Freedom"?

Is "America's Medal of Freedom" the same as the "Presidential Medal of Freedom"? No, this medal is awarded by the people, for the people, to an American hero who has gone above and beyond in their actions, kindness, and selflessness, to create this amazing community called America. This prestigious honor cannot be awarded by just one person. The recipient will have received the highest number of votes from everyone who nominates or votes in America.

How old do I have to be to nominate or vote? 18 years or older

Are there any other restrictions on who can nominate, vote, or be nominated? You must be an American citizen or reside in America legally.
